It is the newest city of Mississippi Gulf Coast, officially incorporated in February 2012, and with an estimated population of 8,425 inhabitants at the time of the 2010 census.

The 27.4 miles Tammany Trace is situated to the north of New Orleans across Lake Pontchartrain, where you can practice walking, biking and horseback riding.
